The Graduate Programs in Software (GPS) department at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for faculty positions to meet our tremendous growth in enrollment. Rank is open. The position will remain open until filled.
Successful candidates will contribute to scholarly teaching, research, student advising and growth of the department in the areas of Data Science, Big Data Management & Analytics, Internet of Things, ERP, Software Engineering, and Information Technology.
Founded in 1985, our Graduate Programs in Software is one of the largest, most-established, and highly diverse programs in the country. We have over 3,400 alumni from 39 states and 14 countries. Located in the School of Engineering on the St. Paul campus, Graduate Programs in Software offers four master\u2019s degrees (Software Engineering, Software Management, Information Technology, and Data Science), even graduate certificate programs, and on-going professional development workshops and seminars. Over 600 students are currently pursuing graduate studies in our department.
PhD degree in computer sciences, information technology, software engineering, or closely related discipline is strongly preferred, exceptions can be made for candidates with distinguished record of accomplishments. To be considered for Clinical faculty, candidates must have a masters\u2019 degree in software engineering or computer science or related field. All applicants must have demonstrable skills necessary for excellence in teaching. Industry experience in these discipline areas is a plus.
