The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of Michigan-Flint seeks to hire a Lecturer I to teach one lecture section of CHM 340–Physical Chemistry I, MW 11:00-12:15; and 1-3 laboratory sections of CHM 261 – General Chemistry Laboratory and/or CHM 263 – Introductory Quantitative Analysis Laboratory in Fall 2017.
Minimum salary for this position is $3,413 per course section.
Minimum of a MS in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related science degree with extensive physical chemistry experience.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an instructional or research laboratory in chemistry or related field is also required.
Familiarization with academic laboratory operations, safety protocols, and modern equipment and techniques is desirable.
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
