The Rothschild, WI facility is located on four acres of land and currently has 85 employees in Research & Development, Manufacturing, Administration and Commercial functional areas. The ISO 9001 certified site consists of 100,000 square feet of floor space designed specifically for use as a specialty product manufacturing facility. This operation supports over 2,000 active customer ship-to locations in the development of over 225 active products. The continued upgrade and expansion of the facility within the last decade has provided greater flexibility in handling the additional lignin volumes being produced.
Function and Scope:
Manage and coordinate the Supply Chain efforts in the Americas so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability with an effective strategy to minimize cost and maximize customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Arrange and manage optimized distribution solutions for handling the supply and demand balance in the Americas, based on supply from LTUS, LignoTech Florida, LLC (LTF) and imports from other Borregaard Lignotech (BLT)-units.
Arrange and facilitate biweekly balancing meetings to secure appropriate actions are taken to balance the US supply chain (demand/supply) in the best way also taken the total BLT balance into account.
Plan, direct, and control the functional operations of the Americas Supply Chain, including all related systems, cost control, and development of the necessary processes and metrics to accomplish them.
Management and responsibility for all activities in Americas Supply Chain in accordance with LTUS and Corporate policies, including operational tasks within Customer Service, Logistics and production planning and balancing stock levels.
Develop and propose local policy and practice changes as needed as well as coordinate and implement as directed. Ensure that Corporate policies and practices, as well as Federal and State legal requirements and trade regulations, are properly administered and complied with.
Secure best rates and service contracts for external bulk liquid storage tanks, warehouses and transport including rail tank cars, FTL and LTL trucking considering optimized requirements of US entities.
Analyze, procure and optimize leased rail tank car fleet, external bulk liquid storage tanks and warehouses based on North American Supply chain requirements.
Negotiate rail, external storage and trucking contracts in collaboration with Corporate, LTUS, LTF and other sister companies.
Analyze supply chain data, establish key metrics and evaluate impact of operational changes and suggested improvements.
Prepare budgets and capital expenditure budgets; approve requisitions within approval limits.
Set departmental objectives and targets and measure key performance indicators

Equivalent Education Level Required - B.S. Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
Experience Required – Min. 10 years relevant experience in Logistics, Supply Chain and Procurement
