The CIO Analyst supports the UC Davis Health System Chief Information Officer and Information Technology division. The CIO Analyst will perform and/or manage a variety of functions including project management, internal and external communications, business analysis, executive support of special projects or initiatives, and divisional metrics and measurements. The CIO Analyst is part of the office of the CIO.REQUIRED --In-depth knowledge of various areas of IT functions with a broad knowledge of the IT environment, IT finance, and IT operations.--Advanced knowledge, skills and abilities associated with system problem identification and resolution. Knowledge necessary to design, set up, operates and correct malfunctions involving technology systems. --Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions. --Experience with analytics and metrics administration and experienced and capable in collecting data in many formats and refine into formats that are highly effective in reporting and conveying issues and status--Experience in data integration and the specification of data services. Ability to understand and model complex knowledge-intensive processes such as scholarly and research processes.--Experienced in Project Management.--Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner--Works independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Ability to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrated skill leading technical teams, including organizing workflow and scheduling assignments. Ability to work independently on complex technical projects as well as on a team of technical professionals and departmental decision-makers.Sophisticated problem solving skills to effectively define & address daily challenges and deliver assignments in a high pressure and constantly changing executive level environment. --Experience in working on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to review and prioritize workload and makes adjustments as needed. Adequately communicates with and informs CIO and others as relevant; when barriers are encountered that may impact timing or the quality of deliverables.--Always maintain security of confidential information. Exercises judgment, tact and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information and situations. Is reliable and can always be counted on for deliverables. PREFERRED--College degree in English, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Information Systems, or similar topics.
