Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the College of Dental Medicine (CDM) Director of Clinical and Analytic Systems(DCAS) the incumbent is responsible for the training of users in the use of Electronic Health Record(EHR) systems. In addition, working with the Clinical Application Administrator(CAA), the incumbent will assist in the configuration and management of the EHR systems. The incumbent will develop and maintain, online and in-person training materials, documentation in coordination with the DCAS and CAA. Perform training classes for the user community as needed Working with the CAA, the incumbent will identify problems, enhance and streamline clinical and business workflows within the EHR. The Incumbent will assist in user acct management, application level security, forms and screen configurations and general configuration of the EHR. Working with DCAS & CAA track projects relating to or impacting the EHR. All system configuration and changes will be tracked by incumbent in the CUMC change management system. Serve as a technical resource to the CDM CIO and director of Clinical systems regarding the functionality of the EHR. Perform related duties as needed.
General Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education experience, plus 2 years' experience training users for clinical systems or electronic health records. Experience developing SCORM compliant training Materials (using Captivate or Articulate)
Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: Extensive experience with EHR, Dental/Medical terminology and workflows. The ability to write clear instructions, document processes and communicate effectively in writing. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills, a team player and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a dental environment. Experience with Axium, Dentrix or Epic Project management experience highly desirable
