The Pacific Lutheran University School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant/associate position in Management starting Fall 2018. Applicants should be able to provide instruction in operations and global supply chain at the undergraduate and graduate level.
The programs in the School of Business have been continuously accredited by AACSB International since 1971. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Teach a combination of operations and global supply chain courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Contribute to the University and the School of Business through research and relevant service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Collegial faculty with demonstrated significant professional or academic engagement in accordance with our AACSB International accreditation.
Ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in management in the BBA & MBA programs.
Terminal degree in Management or closely related field. ABD will be considered but terminal degree must be in hand by September 1, 2018.
Evidence of commitment to teaching, research, and service.
Applicant must have the ability to, after receiving an offer of or after starting employment, provide proof of US Citizenship or a current valid visa to work in this country, without any support from PLU.
Ph.D. in Management from a university with an AACSB accredited program is strongly preferred.
Preference for candidates who are academically qualified with respect to PLU’s AACSB International accreditation. Being academically qualified includes a demonstrated record of peer-reviewed scholarship – or the potential to achieve one.
Preference for previous teaching experience in management related area.
Preference for collegial faculty who view themselves foremost as educators, possess a commitment to scholarship to inform their teaching, and will support our students in the search for meaningful lives in the global economy.
