We are currently accepting applications for the role of the Market Director of Supply Chain for ValleyCare Health System of Ohio and Sharon Regional Health System. This role is responsible to the Materials Management department for purchasing, inventory management, distribution, and linen service operation for all the healthcare facilities. This position develops implements and monitors Material Management system goals and objectives and effectively integrates the technical and human resources to support the organization’s mission. The Director works directly with the CEO’s, COO and CFO’s of each facility to assure expectations of service exceeds at each hospital system. .
This role is responsible for the administration direction of the Supply Chain Operations. The Director will be accountable for the effective direction to the materials management team, associate training and development projects. This role also is involved in performance improvement planning, Human Resource activities, reviews, budges, goals, objectives and quality control. The Market Director develops implements and administers policies and procedures for the system. This position works with Administration to identify and resolves problems, coordinates and improves services offered; participates in the planning and implementing of new projects and services, etc. Besides involvement with negotiation of contracts and purchase orders, this position ensures compliance with regulatory agencies for the system materials management activities, including purchasing inventory management, distribution and linen service operations for the facilities.
The Supply Chain Market Director must have a broad knowledge of supply chain including contracts, procurement, inventory, distribution, linen, sterilization, and information systems program management. The Director must have the ability to stay abreast of competitor offerings, trends, developments and legislation impacting areas of responsibility. Knowledge of regulatory, legislative and standards related to each aspect of Supply Chain Management.
This position requires candidates to possess a Bachelor’s degree in business related field and five (5) years of leadership experience in a Supply Chain area in a hospital facility. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Applicants should possess excellent organizational, analytical, professional, interpersonal, communications, problem solving, and leadership skills. Applicants should also possess intermediate computer skills and be able to work within Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Applicants must be comfortable dealing with all levels of staff from Executives to entry level employees. Must be proficient in written and verbal communications skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff, physicians, and vendors.
