The role will support internal customers in the following departments, IT, Health and Safety, Facilities, Housing, Real Estate, Dining Services, and Energy. This individual will be expected to work with a variety of categories moving from category to category as required and will need to be comfortable working with people of all levels throughout the University. A broad based understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain will be used in this role.
The role will include the ability to approve contracts, contract language, and category strategies. The individual will be working under the direction of the Procurement Director but will have the authority to work independently in order to be responsive to the business needs.
The budget managed annually in this role is estimated at $50m.

MBA or Master's degree in relevant field
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced excel skills
Knowledge of advanced financial operations principles
Basic knowledge and ability to perform all functions typical of a Senior Procurement Administrator to include sourcing, negotiating, writing RFPs and contracts.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required.
Experience with LEAN and /or Process Excellence a plus.
