We are seeking a Sample Coordinator to be based out of our Charlotte, NC facility.

Formula for Success: You Will...
Liaise between Sample Center and Business Unit(s) (BUs) to develop a deep understanding of their sampling needs and expectations. Provide Business Unit with important sample-related business intelligence and reporting.
Manage the entire sample process from receipt of request through successful completion and delivery to customer. Communicate key events and status as required. Collaborate with and support internal BASF functions such as Sales, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Technical Groups with all aspects of the sampling process to ensure the timely delivery of all sample requests.
Skillfully use SPASS and SAP with a thorough knowledge of the SAP import & KM2 systems, BASF purchasing requirements and guidelines, BASF shipping policies and processes, and an understanding of regulatory compliance issues.
Assess current processes and add value to changes/updates. Document all processes and changes for assigned BUs.
Provide consistent quality service and act as a liaison for customers and external service providers.
Create sales orders and purchase orders in SAP for the shipment of Domestic, KM2, and Import and Export sample requests for customers, enforce business rules, and raise awareness about situations where a resolution requires cross-functional coordination.
Monitor Daily Reports in SAP and demonstrate effective back-order management.
Assist with supply planning/inventory management for specific businesses/locations.
Cultivate positive interactions with teammates, customers, global colleagues, and other internal partners to make appropriate decisions, remove obstacles that may impact BASF's ability to satisfy demands, and provide streamlined communication on order status.
Work with businesses, labs, and shipping locations, for ED and EV as well as corporate functions, costing, dangerous goods, tariff, product regulatory, and customer service to ensure they provide timely and accurate processing for their parts of the order process
Identify areas for improvement with the current process and raise awareness to management

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...
Bachelor's degree required with 1 year of experience with SAP sales order and/or purchase order processing; OR a High School diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of experience with SAP sales order and/or purchase order processing.
Working knowledge of Sales Orders and Purchase Orders; experience with Sample Request Database and import/export broker knowledge is preferred.
Understanding of purchasing and shipping policies regarding samples is a plus.
Experience in Master Data and Imports/Exports is preferred.
Ability to interact with the customer in a helpful and friendly manner, and to understand customer needs and work well in a team environment.
Must be able to work with various functions to support efficient Sample service including Product Regulatory, Foreign Trade, International Colleagues, Dangerous Goods, and Logistics, among others; ability to set priorities in a dynamic work environment and work through challenging situations
Strong oral and written communication skills on a global level; strong problem solving capabilities.
Must be a self-starter and able to work through difficult and delicate situations on an International scope. Able to handle constantly changing priorities while still completing projects on time.
