This MBA Internship is designed for students pursuing future careers in general management. During the 12 to 14 week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on business objectives while receiving coaching and mentoring by Eaton leaders.
Interns gain global exposure, develop leadership competencies, and gain knowledge of Eaton's businesses, products, processes, and functions through the Eaton Internship Program - MBA, General Management program.
The assignment will help the intern develop a wide range of Eaton leadership competencies such as business strategy, business acumen, and gain hands-on experience leveraging resources. The scope of assignments allows interns the opportunity to provide value to the organization by achieving a well-defined important strategic objective. MBA Interns will be given assignments in a specific functional discipline such as operations, supply chain, marketing or business development. Past assignments included strategic market analysis, pricing analysis and financial modeling, and supply chain efficiency improvement projects.
The summer internship concludes with a formal presentation to the senior leaders of the organization, where students showcase their accomplishments and key learnings and receive feedback on their performance.
After completion of the internship, and upon graduation, your experience and newly acquired skills could lead you to a variety of career paths at Eaton including the GLDP rotational program. The GLDP rotational program could include assignments in Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Product Line Management, or Front Line Supervision.
Actively enrolled in an MBA degree program from an accredited institution, with a graduation date between December 2018 and August 2019
Minimum of five years of work experience between undergraduate and graduate degrees
Minimum 1-year of prior managerial, project or supervisory experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Internship Program
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or other technical field from an accredited institution
2+ years, previous managerial or supervisory experience strongly preferred
High potential/high interest to develop as a future senior manager in a manufacturing operations environment
Desire to gain experience in operations, strategy, product management, and marketing, leading to a career in general management
This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the assignment manager
Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimburse
