Under the direction of the Chief Supply Chain Officer – System Logistics and Operations will be responsible for ensuring the integration of the mission, values and CQI principles of SSM Health into the work environment. Provide direction and leadership to assure that supply chain operations' strategies address patient safety, quality, clinical outcomes and cost control for the responsible regions to include but not limited to:
Logistics and Supply Distribution
- Central Receiving
- Inventory Management & Distribution
Purchasing & Capital Acquisition Management
Surgical Services Inventory Management at Entity Level, where applicable
Coordinate development of Supply Chain Operations Management policies for the SSM Health WI Region. Provide interpretation and administration of policies once promulgated by the SSM Health system leadership team.
Provide direction, consultation and/or support for all Supply Chain Operations Management functions for the responsible regions as referenced above in the position summary.
Acts as a supply chain operations management administration liaison where appropriate with department leaders, various administrative groups, multi-region entities and vendors. Attends monthly updates with executive leaders.
Facilitate long-term operations objectives that are aligned with organization goals. Develop and operationalize strategic plans for the supply chain operations areas across the system.
Develop, administer and monitor SSM Health regional supply chain operations strategies and goals, supporting and ensuring that multi regional strategies and goals complement SSM Health's system objectives and fulfill community needs for quality health care.
Ensure development, implementation and standardization of "best practice" supply chain operation processes in logistics, warehousing, procurement, distribution and inventory management across multiple regions.
Ensure standardization of vendors, products and pricing within the multi-region entities, in alignment with SSM Health system objectives.
Create and maintain an environment to encourage improvement of the quality and scope of Supply Chain Operations service to all internal and external customers in all SSMH Regions.
Manage relationships and performance of Supply Chain teams, and assess potential improvement areas.
Manage Food Service Operations, if applicable.
Oversee and continually improve customer supply chain efficiency.
Ensures that Supply Chain Operations Management function departments provide premier customer service to all internal and external customers.
Oversee development of systems and processes to continually improve overall Supply Chain operational performance.
Ensures standardization of vendors, products and pricing within the multi-region entities.
Direct and monitor supply chain automation best practices and innovations.
Collaborate with management teams at all levels of the organization to ensure all aspects of supply chain operations are well developed and maintained throughout the supply chain operation to ensure superior customer experience at a high level of efficiency.
Serves as a member on various committees within the responsible regions (i.e. Mid Mo, St. Louis & Southern Illinois; Wisconsin or Oklahoma) regions, providing strategic direction on Supply Chain Operations related issues.
Develop and implement Financial Improvement Plans to drive efficiencies and cost savings. Assess feasibility of logistics and fulfillment capabilities; lead development of initiatives as selected.
Directs the resolution of Supply Chain Operations Management issues related to all integration and consolidation functions within all the SSMH Regions. Supports initiatives in Wisconsin and Oklahoma as appropriate.

Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of Microsoft Excel software program. Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's preferred
Education/Certification in Six Sigma, Lean or other continuous quality improvement programs preferred
Minimum 10 – 15 years of supply chain operations experience
Direct experience managing complex logistics projects as well as demonstrated experience in enabling value in logistics through collaborating with Supply Chain Partners.
Experience in developing logistics solutions for ecommerce.
