Top Tier Capital Partners (“TTCP” or the “Company”), an asset management firm that specializes in venture capital investments, is seeking a Vice President in its San Francisco office. The Vice President will focus on TTCP’s primary fund investment business. The Vice President will perform a broad range of duties including, but not limited to, sourcing new funds, conducting deep due diligence, monitoring funds and assisting with business development and fundraising. The Vice President must be able to perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis; formulate and articulate an investment thesis and opinion; and proactively anticipate the investment team’s needs and provide support as required.
Possess a strong understanding of the venture capital landscape, and within the first twelve (12) months of employment, an in-depth knowledge of TTCP’s business and Core and Alpha investment relationships.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills and an ability to analyze and showcase numbers, write papers, and create presentations – all as ways to effectively communicate with the broader team and (as applicable) to our clients in the form of meeting notes, investment presentations, investment memos, white papers, and investment summaries.
Active involvement in data analytics and portfolio monitoring.
Proactive outreach for new fund investment opportunities (both Core and Alpha).
Evaluate fund managers to determine the merits of the investment.
Organize and prepare data and written analysis for summary investment proposals, investment committee memos, and marketing projects.
Help teams prepare for and actively participate in meetings with GPs and TTCP investors.
Expand network of relevant peers in the venture capital ecosystem.
Able to lead a project from start to finish.
Assist with training and mentoring junior staff.
 For all essential goals, the Vice President’s success will be measured by demonstrating the core competencies required to successfully execute assignments; the on-time delivery of high-quality work product; and the evolving independence in which duties are performed.
Candidates will be expected to complete a sample investment project as part of the screening process.

Other Position Requirements:
5+ years of relevant fund investing experience.
Background and interest in venture capital.
Applicable undergraduate college degree; MBA, CFA, CAIA a plus.
