Under the general direction of the OR Business Manager, theClinical Inventory Specialist is responsible for all functions related to themanagement of supply and equipment within clinical specialty areas (OperatingRoom (OR), Medical Imaging, Cardiology, EP, etc). for St. Mary's Hospital incollaboration with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin owned facilities and affiliateprograms. Maintains relationships with internal and external customer/vendorrepresentatives to enhance financial performance through the inventorymanagement of clinical (OR, CV, IR) supplies. Ensures accuracy of inventory PARlevels by counting products, requisitioning replacement orders, stockingproduct, identifying excess inventory opportunities, and maintaining inventorylocations. Provides regular reports to leadership for decision making andalternate product opportunities. Maintains an effective work environment byproviding equipment and supplies to the clinical service lines for a positivepatient care experience. Maintains supply levels for a continuum of servicewhich enhances physician/staff satisfaction.
Contributes to exceptional financial performance by performing supply and equipment inventory counts by maintaining all stocking locations through quarterly standards such as, but not limited to, inventory turnover and inactive item report values.
Inventories products upon delivery. Enhances exceptional employee satisfaction by reorganizing and maintaining all stocking locations, re-sequencing, and bin labeling services to ensure productive inventory counts and efficient SKU location for department staff. Contributes to exceptional financial performance by generating purchase order requisitions based on inventory counts associated with PAR levels and SKU history to ensure accuracy and reduce excess inventory.
Ensures patient safety by achieving departmental quality goals. Contributes to exceptional financial performance by identifying excess inventory and returning stock to receive financial credits. Receives requisitioned or reserved orders from receiving/supply services and appropriate restocks clinical areas. Maintains supplies in a clean well organized environment and assists in patient charging and reconciliation as appropriate.
Contributes to exceptional financial performance by maintaining and updating appropriate PAR levels, backorders, pricing, additions and deletions, re-sequencing, and other relevant account/departmental information. Maintains hard copy records of all PAR location count sheets. Provides exceptional external customer service by interfacing with manufacturer representatives as needed.
Provides exceptional internal customer service by maintaining communication with department leaders and responding to requests for new items, changes in PAR levels, returns, etc. Assists department leaders in selecting alternate products by providing relevant cost data to ensure financial stewardship. Assist in the management of SAP with regard to product and order information. Assist in the management of Vendor compliance. by assisting with preparation of quarterly reports and makes recommendations for consolidations or changes, reductions in excess inventory, inactive items, and the identification of expired/outdated products. Communicate product changes, backorder, substituted, trials effectively.
Contributes to the overall financial performance of the department by determining appropriate levels of supplies required to support clinical service line caseloads. Enhances the overall patient care experience by responding promptly to request for supplies. Maintains appropriate supply and instrument par levels to support clinical services line requirements and enhance financial performance. Forecast supply needs with Clinical Supply Chain team Clinical teams to ensure appropriate supplies are available aligned with upcoming clinical needs. Contributes to employee satisfaction by ensuring supplies and services are available when needed.
Contributes to a positive work environment by communicating with physicians, staff and visitors in a courteous and professional manner to achieve physician/staff/patient satisfaction.

Strong analytical skills, ability to use spreadsheets for analysisand reporting. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred
2 years Supply Chain or Healthcare Inventory Management experience preferred
May have an equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above
The ideal candidate will be familiar with supply chain methodsregarding contract implementation, vendor management, procurement, receiving,inventory, and distribution. Demonstrated ability to use complex computerizedsupply chain management systems and standard office products software.Knowledge of suture, endomechanical, and other products/procedures.
