AtlantiCare is seeking a Procurement Analyst with a minimum of 2 years of analytical experience to join our team.
Monitors and analyzes trends within purchasing to identify and target opportunities to reduce operating expenses related to med/surg products, goods, services and equipment purchased by the organization.
Partners with other departments to identify and lead agreed-upon initiatives to manage expenses.
Develops well-rounded industry knowledge in various subcategory groupings and monitors the competitive marketplace to ensure awareness of products and services, best practices, trends, new developments and initiatives.
Maintains a current knowledge of available information databases and emerging tools and technology that will best support the procurement initiatives.
Ability to plan and analyze complex processes, proficiency in computer software programs and databases, data mining and extrapolation skills, effective negotiation skills, attention to detail, strong critical reasoning skills and the ability to interpret benchmark analytics to relay information.
Utilizes benchmarking tools to evaluate, compare and contract pricing on non-stock and stock items. Analyzes usage of supplies, equipment and services throughout assigned departments; develops an ongoing list of items that are candidates for standardization throughout the system. Reviews and interprets analytical data generated via various data systems, and acts upon opportunities as they are presented. Uses all resources available appropriately to source product and benchmark vendor offers.
Participates in task groups and implementation teams involved with Information Systems activities that affect the Supply Chain Department.
Provides mentoring/training for all department Buyer positions.
Serves as a resource for team members and other members within the department and throughout the organization.
May provide support through statistics, data and contracting information to both the Surgical Value Analysis and Hospital Value Analysis committees, as needed.
Creates, develops, generates and presents the Supply Chain Scorecard and other department-specific utilization and spend reports and scorecards as requested.
Utilizes quality metrics, strong mathematics and strategic thinking to mine and interpret data, as well as manage and forecast report information.
Supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Bachelor's degree in Procurement or related field.
Certified Materials and Resource Professional certification preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of analytical experience.
Advanced Excel experience.
Purchasing experience preferred.
