The Events Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and execution of the SCARPA North America events program with the goal of raising brand awareness and facilitating consumer product testing opportunities. Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, this individual will vet event opportunities, aid in building the yearly event plan and budget, schedule and arrange staffing logistics, coordinate the distribution of product and materials, and attend select SNA consumer and trade events. As the Events Coordinator position is highly visible to retailers and consumers alike, this person will also serve as an ambassador for the SCARPA brand.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop with marketing manager the annual event plan and communicate to internal and external customers.
Evaluate all new and recurring event sponsorship requests and submit recommendations to the Marketing Manager for approval.
Work closely with event organizers and marketing manager to develop sponsorship agreement and SCARPA brand activation plan to ensure maximum ROI.
Coordinate and execute all SCARPA sponsored events on time and within budget.
Collaborate with internal Digital Marketing Coordinator and external stakeholders to develop a social media and promotional strategy for each event.
Oversee the packing, shipping, distribution and return of all event materials, promo items, gift certificates, and demo fleets.
Travel to select events to represent SCARPA and communicate with consumers about the features and benefits of each product and oversee demo fleet check out.
Manage the preparation of promotions and direct onsite event activities.
Submit written event debrief report for all events attended by SCARPA.
Submit monthly reports to the management team to summarize events, schedules, and budget status of the department.
Meet annual event budget expectations and goals.
Demo fleet management:
Coordinate the delivery of demo product and equipment to/from events in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Coordinate and manage the ski, climbing, and mountain demo equipment fleets with a strict focus on inventory accountability and product inspection and maintenance.
Manage seasonal demo and events calendar and schedule and communicate to internal and external customers.
Coordinate with internal customers, event planners, and SNA sales reps on demo fleet needs and schedule.
Manage shipments of demo product to/from concurrent events while ensuring on-time arrival and return.
Oversee and maintain a quarterly inventory of demo equipment.
Internal: SNA marketing staff, SNA sales staff, SNA accounting staff, SNA executive team, SNA distribution center, SNA operations staff, and SCARPA Italy
External: SNA athletes, SNA sales reps, SNA event tech reps, event organizers, end consumers, professional/institutional customers, and the SNA dealer network
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university.
Three years related experience/training in outdoor industry or events management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE
MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with CRM and ERP software i.e. NetSuite.
Valid passport and drivers license.
Active participation and experience in backcountry skiing, climbing, trail running and other mountain-related sports.
Business office, distribution center, trade show environments, and indoor /outdoor event facilities.
Must be willing to work days that exceed standard business hours and weeks that exceed 40 hours including multiday travel over weekends.
Must be able to lift 70 lbs. and be willing to work long days on foot.
Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.
