Where the Chemistry Happens...
The Business Segment Manager, Functional Materials, has responsibility for leading a team of Product Regulations Operations (PRO) Specialists, as well as acting as the direct liaison with global EHS, Master Data, business, and service platform counterparts supporting the Functional Materials Operating Divisions. S/he will provide day-to-day operational guidance to the PRO Specialists ensuring product compliance to International, Federal, State and local regulations through a North American shared services platform.
Critically, this position is expected to support business process optimization efforts and align EHS product regulatory interfaces to business and supply chain; it will support key efforts on overall IT strategy and global coordination. Additional coordination of Product Regulation initiatives with the assigned business units is expected.

Engage with Business Marketing, Product Management, Supply Chain, Operations/Manufacturing plants, and Customer Service teams.
Serve as the driver to expand from a regional to global position by working with the European, Asian, and Central and South American counterparts to coordinate new global processes as they become available.
Facilitate new process development to ensure EHS interfaces are clearly identified for business and EHS optimization.
Partner with cross-functional business units to manage the BASF product lines in a cost-effective manner.
