Where the Chemistry Happens...
This Supply Chain Planning role has responsibility for a key sourcing supply chain for the Mining Solutions and Services business. Currently the Business Unit (BU) is supported regionally, however, it is a global business and many products are managed globally. This planning role facilitates and directs the day-to-day operational execution that enables the application of this global strategy in North America.
Develop an achievable import replenishment schedule from designated international supply points:
Manage the Import planning systems/parameters in development of the replenishment plan
Balance the Import plan within defined supply chain capabilities and constraints
Communicate identified supply/demand issues and work within team structure to resolve
Socialize aggregate supply requirement forecasts per inter-regional agreements
Manage unique requirements related to international supply agreements (e.g., lead times, carrier capacity availability, customer stocking agreements, port clearance)
Manage quarterly transfer pricing on inter-regional supply agreements
Lead/coordinate multiple corporate, business and third-party functions (e.g., Broker, Carrier, Corp Logistics, Supplying Region, Product Management, Sales, CCC) to ensure customer service levels are met
Manage the U.S. import product warehouse distribution plan in sync with North American demand requirements and cost/service objectives.
Manage U.S. import product inventory levels from identified international suppliers to meet defined business OIV (Operative Inventory Valued), DIV (Days of Inventory Valued), DIQ (Days Inventory Quantity), and On-Time Shipping Reliability objectives:
Coordinate cross functional, cross regional disposition of dysfunctional stock (e.g., aged, damaged, slow moving) within North America Supply Chain
Facilitate North American EV Mining Services Pre-Sales and Operations Planning process to support regional Import Supply/Demand balance activities in support of the global S&OP Planning process:
Identify and manage bottlenecks, document action items, and prioritize and prepare issues requiring elevation to the Global S&OP
Manage the tolled services required to support the EV Mining Services import supply chain
Coordinate details of all support services (e.g., relabeling, repack of containers) including quantity, timing, and cost in support of business activity
Complete all system transactions as appropriate to account for these support services
Manage all communications with tollers, detailed by customer needs, to support these services
Review and approve invoices received to the services managed to ensure contracted rates are applied consistently
Work cross functionally (e.g., EV Toller Manager, Planning, Product Management) to balance requirements with capabilities, resolve issues, and optimize product flow through service providers
Participate in all Mining-business-related activities:
Work directly with Business leadership, Mining Global Product Managers, and commercial team to support the business objectives
Establish a strong business knowledge including acting as a business partner
Engage with commercial team as needed related to current or future projects
Manage the product Sample order/procurement process in support of the Mining Services innovation and growth strategies:
Coordinate cross functional requirements efficiently within defined business process rules
Manage new product, vendor agreement set-up activity, and related inventory management
