The University of Michigan-Dearborn invites applicants for an assistant professor position in accounting starting Fall 2018. The position requires a primary interest in auditing. Teaching will include both graduate and undergraduate courses.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D./DBA in Accounting, or be ABD with an expected graduation date before December 2018 (May 2019 for the later start date). The successful candidate will be dedicated to quality teaching, research, and service. Salary and benefits are AACSB competitive including significant support for research and professional development.
The University of Michigan (UM-Dearborn) is one of three campuses of the University of Michigan. UM-Dearborn is a comprehensive university offering high quality undergraduate, graduate, professional, and continuing education to residents of southeastern Michigan, and currently enrolls more than 9,000 students. The College of Business is AACSB accredited and offers a BBA degree with nine concentrations, an MBA degree that can be completed both in-class and online, as well as MS degrees in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, and Information Systems. The College has recently revised the curricula for most of these programs and is witnessing significant growth in enrollment, especially at the graduate level. The campus is strategically located on 200 suburban acres on the original Henry Ford Estate in the Greater Detroit Metropolitan region. Dearborn is located between Detroit and Ann Arbor and allows for a short commute from Ann Arbor, Detroit, the Detroit suburbs, and several smaller towns with a more rural environment.
