DISTRIBUTION Center MANAGER
Responsible for the efficient flow of all inbound and outbound products, while supporting companywide policies, goals and objectives of Company, a GMP regulated environment. Ensure superior customer service to Customers and internal partners by delivering on shipping commitments to Customers.
Directly supervise the activities of the Warehouse Supervisors. Indirectly supervise the activities of all hourly warehouse personnel, to include coaching, counseling, discipline, and performance reviews as necessary. Counsels and disciplines employees in a fair and consistent manner in accordance with work rule policies.
Ensure that the performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution of performance metrics as it relates to Productivity, Safety, Quality and Customer Service. Leads problem solving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and on the floor leadership.
Conduct training for facility personnel as deemed necessary (i.e. safety or job training). Interact effectively with regulatory agencies.
Oversees racking, bar coding, forklifts, and all other warehouse equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization. Troubleshoots as required.
Oversee finished product inventory control ensuring timely disposition, usage and sale of non-conforming and aging inventory to maintain lowest possible inventory levels and eliminate exposure to spoilage.
Responsible for the safety of all subordinates and all powered industrial trucks used within the facility. Promote Safety programs and policies to reduce employee accidents and injuries.
Monitors forklift activities and maintenance, inventory control and cycle counting discrepancies, storage maintenance, and warehouse sanitation and appearance.
Recommends, develops, and implements measures to improve productivity, increase the efficiency of worker and equipment performance, and product quality.
Develops an annual warehouse budget and monitors expenses to ensure that the department meets financial goals.
Communicates company and department information to subordinates through meetings and forms of written communication.
Remains approachable and accessible to employees. Take personal interest in employees’ growth and development.
Evaluate existing operations to recommend and implement improvements affecting productivity, accuracy, quality and service level.
Communicate and interact effectively with all departments, plants, support services and all levels of management to ensure the smooth operation of the process.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain management preferably within the dairy or food packaging industry; or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
Working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. Maestro, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) a plus SAP
Hands on experience in successfully leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team environment; strong communication skills, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to evaluate shipping/warehouse/inventory processes, and determine the most efficient method of accomplishing goals.
Ability to work flexible hours. Must be self-motivated, results oriented, and possess high degree of initiative.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
