As Supply Chain Director in this important role, you will provide overall leadership for Supply Chain in the Medical Center by developing goals, objectives, policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and evaluating activities and preparing operating and capital expenditure budgets. The job will also include performing personnel administration functions.
Additional responsibilities of the Supply Chain Director include, but are not limited to:
Work closely with VUMC Sourcing Director to ensure key contracting and staff decisions are made.
Oversight of collaborative website and content; day-to-day member billings and collections; and member issue resolution.
Responsible for oversight and updating of all contract templates, negotiating diverse contracts in all key product areas and facility types; as well as for overseeing expiring contracts to ensure continuous contract coverage.
Responsible for achievement of targeted savings goals and oversight of all collaborative analytics, including prospective customers and same store sales growth.
Provide In-depth expertise on national GPO/supplier business strategies and procure to pay systems and processes.
Provide consultative services to collaborative members in helping them to achieve contract savings. This includes the ability to help implement contract decisions across the collaborative and provide expertise to other supply chain leaders for conversions.
Travel nationwide as needed to help drive contract compliance, market to prospective clients, provide expertise and other supply chain contracting services as needed.
Mentor and oversee Sourcing Officers and client manager team and aid in their professional development.
Foster supplier and member relationships across the country to enable regional contracting for collaborative when needed.
Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of experience are required.
Previous Manager/Director experience in the Medical Field and •10+ of supply chain, GPO and managerial experience are preferred.
