Position Summary: Provides overall vision, leadership, and management of all IT functions at the College of Veterinary Medicine. This includes planning, sourcing, and support of information technology as defined by the overall IT strategy of the University (Office of the CIO) and the College. This position serves as the senior IT representative on University committees and is the primary point of contact for IT communications between the unit's leadership and the Office of the CIO.
This role is more than the top technical resource; rather, the focus is on management of all aspects of technology service delivery, including high level consultation with senior leadership, proposal development, negotiation of service levels and management of multiple projects, vendors, and OIT services.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 6 years' experience in management, project planning, and budgeting with progressively increasing levels of responsibility and accountability; knowledge information technology principles and applications, computer system management methodologies, and new technologies; knowledge of principles and practices of leadership, motivation, team building, and conflict resolution; knowledge of modern office practices, methods and computer equipment; and knowledge of budgeting procedures and techniques.
Must have 2 years' experience directly supervising full-time employees.

Desired Qualifications: Experience working in an academic environment and/or a healthcare environment. Master's degree in business administration, computer science, computer engineering, or related field as well as 10 years' experience at a senior level in an IT department.
