Florida Hospital seeks to hire a Sponsored Program Analyst I who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

Florida Hospital has a diverse research program, and is actively engaged in research to advance health care and cutting-edge treatments to its patients. There are over 450 open studies across 1 5 research departments.
The Office of Research Administration provides support and safeguards for Florida Hospital, investigators, research team members, research subjects, and data to ensure integrity of research at Florida Hospital.
The Grants Management Division facilitates the submission of Federal, State and research grants on behalf of Florida Hospital, and provides training, technical assistance, oversight and monitoring to ensure compliance with applicable grantor requirements, and institutional policies.
Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
The Sponsored Programs Analyst I will coordinate activities related to the pre- and post-award processes of research administration and provide administrative support for the life cycle of sponsored programs. The Sponsored Programs Analyst I ensures timely, effective, and efficient management of all research activities under the auspices of Florida Hospital. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Skills, Education & Experience Required:
Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, and/or related applications
Able to interact with a variety of professionals in multiple hospital departments and outside institutions/sponsors
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Attention to detail, organized, and self-starter
Key focus on customer service, timely and appropriate communications, able to meet fixed deadlines, and multi-task high volume of complex workload requirements
Knowledge of related federal and state regulations, i.e. NIH GPS, CFRs, OMB, as it relates to research administration
Familiarity with grant submission portals or forms such as Grants.gov, eRA Commons, and/or different foundation grant sites and SF424, PHS forms, RPPR, etc. (preferred)
Associate's degree in fields such as healthcare, business, finance, accounting, or research-related
One year of experience in research administration or financial management, preferably in an academic or medical setting
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or research-related fields (preferred)
Two to four years of experience in research administration or financial management (industry / pharmaceutical and federal grants) (preferred)
Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:
Certification by any professional research organization such as SOCRA (Society of Clinical Research Associates), ACRP (Association of Clinical Research Professionals), SRA (Society of Research Administrators), NCURA (National Council of University Research Administrators), RACC (Research Administrator's Certification Council), etc. (preferred)

Reads and interprets different funding opportunity announcements, including federal grant requests for proposals in order to assist faculty and staff with routine and general inquiries in the proposal preparation and submission phase, i.e. electronic forms access, website information, submission procedures, processes, and deadlines.
Coordinates a variety of activities and provide administrative support related to sponsored programs from pre-award/proposal submission to close-out phase. Applies knowledge of federal regulations and policy on research compliance, i.e. human subjects, animal use, institutional policies on conflict of interest, etc., to ensure completeness of grant proposal packages.
Verifies that all research requirements have been met, i.e. proper credentials for investigators and research team members such as debarment, conflict of interest, CITI training, physician letters of agreement, documentation for research-related physician payments to meet Stark Law requirements, etc., files are properly assembled for presentation to the Authorized Official Representative (AOR) designated by Research Services Leadership for final review and submission.
Maintains proposal and award information in a database and prepares reports as requested by the manager or director. Collaborates with other Research Services departments such as Office of Research Integrity, Research Finance, IRB, Legal, etc., as well as the different departments/institutes/campus administrators to gather information as required by sponsors and funding agencies.
Provides assistance in proper interpretation of research awards, federal and state regulations, and institutional policies and procedures to ensure compliance with award terms and conditions.
Assists in developing, enhancing, and communicating policies and procedures in research administration.
Provides administrative support such as maintaining departmental calendar, preparing departmental workflow priorities driven by deadlines and sponsor requests, etc.
Manages and/or assists with special projects in research administration processes, as assigned.
