This position will work closely with the Construction Contract Administrator and other stakeholders to support procurement and contract activities for capital projects at MSU. This will include supporting RFP and bidding actions, contract negotiations, and contract administration. PDC also wants to use more strategic contracting, and this position will allow this to expand appropriately. The Associate Vice President for Strategic Infrastructure Planning and Facilities has signature authority for design and construction contracts on campus. In Fiscal Year 2017-18, PDC paid more than $160 million to construction contractors, with additional transactions for design, consulting services, and other construction-related procurements. PDC has also worked with partners across campus to shorten the delivery cycle of projects while still providing good value to the university. We must continue to improve both time and value to ensure MSU remains its land grant tradition of world class institution with access to all.
This position will engage in high performance, leading edge practices, which are innovative in their approach to increased stewardship and service excellence.
