The Director of Materials Management oversees and manages the purchasing and movement of all materials, tools and parts utilized in the manufacturing process for the company as well as the Sales and Operations Planning process and scheduling of production.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all functions of the Materials Management function
Establish and maintain strong intra department relationships within all functions of the company
Manage department(s) within budgeted expenses
Responsible for maintaining technical and systems compliance for all aspects of the Materials Management function
Ensure that proper inventory levels for raw materials and work in process are available to meet customer demand while maintaining inventory turns targets at all locations
Effectively collaborate with respective departments to implement strategies necessary to achieve business objectives
Manage the supply chain for all LCC (low cost country) planning
Manage the Logistics/transportation function to include all Domestic/International Freight and Drive Away
Manage to ensure that the S&OP (Sales and Operations) plan is set in accordance to meet customer expectations and that all manufacturing locations are in line to support it
Responsible for supporting the implementation of the Materials, Logistics and all production related modules of JDE; including the implementation of any respective ancillary systems required to run the business
Lead Morgan’s yearly physical inventory process
BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field and at least 7-10 years’ experience or Master’s degree with at least 5 years’ experience overseeing Supply Chain for multi-site manufacturing.
Understanding of all functional aspects of the supply chain.
Advanced knowledge of MPS/MRP systems. JD Edwards Enterprise One and AS/400 experience a plus.
