MSU invites you to join University IT’s (UIT) Enterprise Services Group, providing day-to-day management support to a diverse group of technical specialists!
Reporting to the CIO, this position is responsible for planning, implementation, and operation of Montana State University’s enterprise administrative information system for the four campuses of MSU. It involves the strategic managerial responsibility for the UIT Enterprise Services Group (20 .0 FTE) including ESG Operations & Applications, Database Administration, Identity and Access Management, and the Portfolio Management Office. This includes database management, transaction processing, web services, reporting, and security for Finance, Accounts Receivable, Student Records, Human Resources, and Financial Aid functions.

Demonstrated experience managing information technology units and staff with a focus on Administrative Enterprise Systems, including experience with human resource allocation, fiscal management, project/program management, and strategic planning.
Demonstrated knowledge of administrative information systems, business processes, security, database management systems, and application architectures.
Demonstrated knowledge of information systems security threats and mitigation tactics.
Demonstrated knowledge of medium-to-large-scale computing systems, client/server systems, and web-based systems capable of supporting large administrative information systems and related applications.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, or related field, plus substantial directly related IT Management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
