Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to teach multiple sections or courses at the undergraduate or graduate level in Management Information Systems, starting in August 2017. The successful candidate will be able to deliver using one or more of the following modes: online, on campus, blended, or flipped; and participate in department service activities as required including advising undergrad students. The position also includes a research component, requiring the faculty member to maintain either Scholarly Academic or Practice Academic status per AACSB accreditation standards.
Required Education and Experience:
- A master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from a nationally or internationally accredited university. -Must meet the College’s Faculty Qualification Standards for AACSB Accreditation
For those applying at the Senior Lecturer level, a minimum of 6 years of teaching experience within higher-education is required, in addition to the above.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- A doctoral degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from a nationally or internationally accredited university. -Experience teaching courses at the college level, particularly introduction to computer programming using Java and programming in Python. -Industry experience in information systems management or demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed information systems or related field journals or practitioner outlet.

Fraction of work and duration of contract will depend on course loads/needs with the possibility of renewal.
