The Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:
Working on a 3-year NIAAA-funded study to develop and test a brief alcohol intervention for psychiatrically hospitalized suicidal adolescents, which includes a post-discharge mHealth booster.
Managing study logistics, including development and maintenance of study logs.
Preparing the necessary documentation for Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Committee on Clinical Investigations (CCI) submissions, together with the Principal Investigator of the study, and maintaining IRB protocols. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines.
Recruiting and consenting participants, providing information about the study to patients and families.
Conducting baseline assessments using structured interview.
Delivering intervention and attention-matched comparison conditions.
Entering and managing data in SPSS and organizing and maintaining study records.
To qualify, you must have:
A Master's degree in Social Work. Licensed state of MA.
2+ years of experience working with adolescents with suicide ideation and/or substance use and their families, preferred.
Experience working collaboratively with multiple systems, in inpatient psychiatric units and with Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Timeline Followback and Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale, preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems OR design relatively complex systems and programs.
