Essential Functions: The College of Engineering at Wayne State University has embarked on an initiative to create a world‐class center of research excellence in Cyber‐Physical Systems (CPS). Currently a sizeable group of faculty from multiple departments collaborate on cross‐cutting research including work in areas such as Sensors,Smart buildings/Infrastructure, Wireless Health, automotive electronics and Intelligent Transportation Systems to name a few.In support of the College initiative, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for junior and senior faculty positions in the following areas: analog, mixed signal integrated circuits, RFICs and wireless transceiver for 5G and V2X communications in smart vehicles, embedded systems for the Internet of things and built‐in self‐test.We expect to make the appointment at the Assistant Professor level, but will consider exceptional candidates at the Associate or Full Professor level.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to develop and maintain a productive research program, including external funding.Supervise the thesis and dissertation research of graduate students.Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.Contribute to college and university service activities.
Qualifications: Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineeringor a closely related field.Candidates with industrial experience are encouraged to apply.
