General Purpose: Reporting to the University Chief Information Officer, with dotted-line responsibility to the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) Chief Information Officer, this position provides strategic guidance and operational support for the effective use of Information Technology in the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Public Health, and Yale Health. Develop close working relationships with senior IT staffs at the University and YNHHS, as well as departmental IT teams.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of relevant management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability with HIPAA, HITECH, and other regulatory requirements relevant in a life-sciences research environment.
Proven ability to lead through influence, build consensus, and demonstrate collaboration leading to effective results in a decentralized environment.
Demonstrated understanding of current project management concepts and prior experience in the delivery of large-scale IT projects.
Demonstrated commitment to and success in service and client satisfaction.
Superior written and oral communications, supporting an ability to establish trust and create confidence.
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience in delivery of technology services in a research-intensive academic medical setting strongly preferred.
