Pharmacy System Manager of Automation and Informatics

The Pharmacy System Manager of Automation and Informatics has oversight for pharmacy automation and informatics for production, distribution, and inventory systems for the five-hospital health-system. This manager leads a team of a technician manager and technicians that work as subject matter experts for these areas. This individual’s team assumes responsibility and accountability of implementing, updating, assessing and coordinating automation use and technology across the health-system. The manager works cohesively with other managers in operational areas to ensure the safe, effective and timely mediation use in a consistent and reliable manner for patients. This manager also works on health-system dashboards for productivity and safety performance metrics with automation and informatics. Other Responsibilities include:
The Pharmacy System Manager of Automation and Informatics reports to the Director of Pharmacy of Acute Care Services and works closely with other operations and clinical managers to advance pharmacy practice and patient care services throughout the institution. This manager will also work with the Chief Pharmacy Officer and the pharmacy leadership team in the development of goals for the department and work with other managers and colleagues throughout Wake Forest Baptist Health to facilitate the accomplishment of these goals.
