CBRE Global Investment Partners (GIP) is a division of CBRE Global Investors dedicated to investments with operating partners via primary funds, secondaries, co-investments and joint ventures. GIP differentiates from the direct investment side of CBRE Global Investors by always investing with a local operating partner in every transaction. GIP had equity AUM of $17.6bn at December 2016. Clients invest via separate accounts, many of which have a global remit, and pooled funds, including the CBRE Global Alpha Fund (an open ended global fund with $2.5bn of capital commitments) and regional closed end value-add funds focused on Europe and Asia.
GIP is led by CEO, Jeremy Plummer and CIO, Ian Gleeson. GIP has 74 staff operating globally across 4 offices - London (HQ), Amsterdam, Singapore and Boston.
Role Purpose 9 month contract working primarily on the Global Investment Partners business but still part of the wider Global Investors finance function.
Key Responsibilities Monthly
Monthly reporting for the GIP business, including control of a Netherlands entity and hands-on involvement in the monthly accounting for the whole GIP group
Finalisation of the GIP consolidated results and submission of flash and final results to the US parent company
Review of results with US finance team
Intercompany recharges with other group entities
Preparation of quarterly forecasts for the entire GIP business
Detailed revenue calculations
Discussions with portfolio managers
Update capital raise projections
Review and update forecast staff costs and other expenses
Provide variance analysis and commentary on key findings
Annual budget process, following same format as forecast exercise
Assist in preparation of financial statements for entities within the GIP group
Cash and foreign currency exposure monitoring

Person Specification/Requirements Essential
Qualified accountant, with several years post-qualification experience
Strong excel skills
A self-starter, able to resolve issues with own initiative
A keen and positive attitude with the flexibility to meet deadlines as required
Experience working with PeopleSoft general ledger system
Exposure to Hyperion Financial Management
Experience in the property / asset management sectors
