The Risk & Finance IT Regulatory Reporting group is seeking an experienced Business Analysts to support delivery of the Financial Accounting – Alternative Investments project required for Internal/External reporting compliance. The project scope includes delivery of the committed 2018 book of work on the US platform servicing the Alternative Investments group. The main responsibility for this role is to understand and validate the business requirements, align data requirements and design the solutions to produce functional specifications that will provide the basis for the implementation of the technical designs that will be defined and built by the development team specialists assigned to the project. Responsibilities include: You will liaise with Business subject matter experts and project team to understand relevant business processes and the nature of the reporting requirements. You will define Functional Specifications per area of focus, including for relevant data sourcing, enrichments, calculations, and reporting, and oversee development of corresponding technical designs by developers assigned to same functional area. You will define Functional Test Scripts and execute functional verification and troubleshooting of technical issues during Systems Integration Testing phases and UAT. You will support change control and migration of code versions configuration for deployment of the application reporting solution to production environments and liaise with users for post-prod support. You will provide technical support for the use of new functionality solution deployed to production environment. The positions will report to the IT Implementation Lead and are based in Raleigh, NC. Collaboration with global project managers and IT counterparts may be required for global alignment of regulatory reporting solutions across regions in scope under the Regulatory Reporting Book of Work.

You have 5+ years’ experience as a business analyst in the financial industry, with demonstrated experience providing business analysis for Regulatory Reporting processes and applications. You have knowledge of finance processes, including for financial accounting and familiarity with bank products; knowledge of regulatory reporting standards and practices strongly preferred. You have an understanding of all phases of an application development life cycle and development methodologies, and familiarity with IT platforms and software development methodologies. Do you have strong analytical skills and project execution skills relevant to delivery of IT applications? You will be working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, MS Visio, MS Project, JIRA, HP ALM, VB.Net, OBIEE 11G, MS Office applications, especially Excel. Do you have the ability to understand and challenge business processes, requirements and proposed solutions to help define strategic, robust, and scalable solutions in line with CFO/CIO strategies? Ability to actively manage timelines, risks, and client to ensure timely delivery of quality deliverables. Ability to communicate with diverse audience at varying levels of detail as appropriate, including with Business SME’s and IT application developers across multiple regions. Ability to demonstrate self-initiative as well as take direction and escalate issues as appropriate. You have an excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
Education and professional qualifications:
University-level accreditation in Finance, Accounting, or technical discipline (such as MIS/Computer Science) or commensurate experience.
