The Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the world’s leading teaching and research universities, seeks an Assistant Dean and Director of Graduate Programs Student Affairs. This is a career defining opportunity to play an integral role in advancing the Olin Business School’s international and national reputation in graduate business education. The Assistant Dean and Director of Graduate Programs Student Affairs has comprehensive oversight and management of the student affairs functions for all graduate programs within the Olin School of Business with the exception of PhD. Currently this includes the Full-time MBA (U.S., Shanghai, and Mumbai), Professional MBA, Executive MBA, and the following specialized masters programs: Master of Accounting, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in Leadership, and Master of Science in Supply Chain Management. The work of the Students Affairs group spans the educational life cycle of the approximately 900 graduate students enrolled in these programs. Specific areas of oversight include orientation, academic advising, curricular and co-curricular development, tracking academic progress, certifying for graduation, as well as a myriad of other ordinary and extraordinary activities. Additionally, the Assistant Dean and Director of Graduate Programs Student Affairs is charged with leading the ten staff members who report through this function. The Assistant Dean is one of two senior leaders reporting directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. Successful candidates will hold a graduate degree, preferably in business with previous university student affairs experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have such experience while working in a competitive graduate business education environment. Previous supervisory and management experience is expected. |
