The Office of Teaching, Learning & Technology (OTLT), under the auspices of the University Chief Information Officer (CIO) and as part of OneIT, is a campus-wide provider of technology and pedagogy support for faculty and instructors. OTLT is seeking to fill a full-time position in its Learning Spaces Technology group.
The Learning Spaces Senior IT Support Consultant functions under the direction of the Learning Spaces Manager, providing support for computers and instructional technology in campus classrooms and learning spaces. This position will be primarily responsible for ensuring an outstanding level of customer service to faculty, staff, and students for their activities within campus learning spaces including classrooms, study spaces and computer labs. The Sr. IT Support Consultant will also be responsible for overseeing the creation and refinement of support processes and documentation pertaining to computers and instructional technology deployed in classrooms and learning spaces. The position will work closely with campus partners to coordinate, implement, and support instructional technology solutions in UI learning spaces.
The person in this position will be responsible for leading learning space technical support efforts via phone, e-mail, and chat on technology issues and will document resolutions for future use. This position is responsible for the support mechanisms of computer and AV systems deployed in classrooms and other learning spaces. Interaction with university faculty, staff and students will require considerable knowledge of OneIT services, policies and procedures, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to match the right instructional technology with academic needs. The position will develop and provide training/documentation for technology support personnel throughout the OneIT organization. Additionally, this position will lead small to medium scale technology projects in campus learning spaces.
This permanent, full–time Professional & Scientific position will be filled as a Sr. IT Support Consultant (PIC3), based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. Annual Salary Range: Sr. IT Support Consultant (PIC3): $48,546 – Commensurate

KEY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop organizational support procedures, workflows, and policies for learning spaces.
Mentor junior staff on resolving technical issues.
Independently specify and maintain learning spaces technology including projectors, computers and software.
Identify, troubleshoot and solve learning spaces technology issues including A/V, computers and software.
Provide phone, online and onsite support of classrooms, computer labs, learning commons, and other learning spaces technology-supported spaces.
Communicate changes in hardware and software in campus learning spaces to the campus community. Facilitates planning process for developing Learning Spaces procedures and policies in partnership with OneIT Help Desk and other campus partners
Provide training on complex learning spaces technologies to OneIT support staff across UI
Develop one-on-one, small group, and large group training on learning spaces hardware and software to UI instructors and students
Develop training content for campus classroom/TILE classroom training offerings
Ensure quality documentation of all customer support activities (incidents and requests).
Facilitate development of support documentation of learning spaces technology for OneIT Help Desk and campus knowledge base.
Lead efforts to create and update public web content about learning spaces technology such as A/V equipment, lecture capture hardware or video conferencing software
Some travel off-site for the purpose of A/V configuration, support, and customer training may be required.
