Position Summary: Develops strategies that result in best-in-class strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management practices. Identifies projects; applies sourcing and purchasing/procurement methodologies to leverage annual purchase volume and rationalize supplier base; and optimizes benefits/savings to University. Partners with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs; conducts buyer/market profiles; shares marketplace trends; develops sourcing strategies; shares best practices; and defines acceptable service levels.

Duty 10: Partner with internal stakeholders to develop effective sourcing strategies, data collection and analysis plans, and provide timely and accurate analyses. Develop and document spend baseline assumptions for Sourcing events. Conduct analysis to support savings estimation; perform analysis of data provided by suppliers to advise on savings and/or benefits. Summarize of analytical findings.
Understand business needs and develop accurate solutions. Present findings clearly and concisely.
Interview contacts to validate data, collect qualitative information and gain insight.
Develop recommendations and quantify impact. Present business case and provide recommendation for action. Function:Analysis and Planning Percent: 60
Duty 20: Use analytic techniques to further support complex sourcing and supply chain projects. Demonstrate analytical expertise in support of sourcing activity and projects.
Partner with analysts and other team members to apply analytical rigor and technical expertise on engagements and internal projects.
Collect, collate, analyze, and distribute marketplace research data in compliance with deadlines. Research data and provide analytical insight of market to Commodity teams on projects. Function:Sourcing Activity and Projects Percent: 20
Duty 30: Develop an understanding of the sources, types, and locations of the available data; work with internal partners to gain access to the data; use the available data to enhance analytics, and identify additional data sources that could be leveraged.
Analyze, manipulate, cleanse and validate data from a variety of data sources and platforms. Leverage data from external sources for analysis where needed. Function:Data Analysis Percent: 10
Duty 40: Provides department support in the areas of business process analysis and design, system or procedure testing and implementation, documentation, security, workflow, and customer feedback.
Participates and/or leads other projects as assigned. Function:Departmental Support Percent: 10
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to independently gather, organize, and perform analytical or sourcing assignments.
Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex analysis.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products as well as Tableau; some experience developing queries in SQL. Required
Working knowledge of strategic sourcing policies, practices and systems.
Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
