Responsible for the organization and operation of the Supply Chain Management office. Provides customer service for all departments and their procurement needs. Serves as a liaison for web based programs utilized by end user departments such as vendor management, office supply, form, and MFP. Supports Supply Chain Management Vendor Policy and provides enforcement of the policy as required. Acts as support to Supply Chain Management leadership and staff as needed. This position may support multiple sites within the assigned region
Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED required
Associates degree or 2 years equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience Requirements
2 years hospital supply chain procurement/logistics experience preferred.
Knowledge of perpetual inventories and the processes/procedures involved.
Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel and Word with basic understanding of Power Point and Access.
Lawson, MMIS experience preferred
Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )
Responsible for business support functions of the Supply Chain department. *
Enters department requisitions as needed, including bill onlys.*
Assists Supply Chain staff to process STAT or emergency orders by acting as a liaison with Corporate Buyers. *
Performs miscellaneous product research in support of Supply Chain staff and departments as needed. *
Coordinates submission of new Lawson item request to Corporate Supply Chain.*
Assists in the cross training of new employees.*
Participates in all department staff meetings and takes an active part in unit and various committees as assigned. *
Works closely with all departments to ensure a smooth flow of supplies and communication within the Supply Chain Management department.*
Primary point of contact for Supply Chain Management internal and external customers.*
Provides information regarding general Supply Chain policies and procedures and items specific to the assigned site.*
Works directly with Supply Management Team in developing communications to both internal and external customers as needed.*
Responsible for the management of the Recall process at the assigned facility. *
Works directly with both Supply Chain Management team and end users to ensure that the products in question are verified as having been ordered in the past. *
Responsible for supporting web based applications such as vendor management, MFPs, Office Supplies and Forms and is responsible for in-servicing all new associates that require training on the use of these applications. *
Uses Lawson ERP as required to assist Supply Chain staff in the areas of requisitions, Purchase Orders and Receiving. *
Work Invoice not received report in conjunction with specific site technician to rectify any outstanding issues.*
Ensure all items that are processed through supply chain MMIS have prior approval, are contracted and appropriate vendor is being utilized.*
Perform various functions in relationship to perpetual inventories. IE: Issues, Credit, cycle counts and inventory control.*
Responsible for coordinating training for all end users for new technology or new processes identified by supply chain management leadership.*
Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
