In this role, you'll design and architect data warehouse solutions while acting as a primary contributor in developing, testing and deploying key data warehouses or data marts, and you will be working with cutting edge technology. Apply today, and find out what it means to be a part of an organization with the support and resources of a Fortune 6 company.Primary Responsibilities:Gather requirements from different stakeholders through Stakeholder analysis, Brainstorming, JAD sessions, PMC Meetings, etc.Own requirements phase and own various requirement artifacts such as BRD, Use Cases, User Stories, User Manual, Business Workflows and Screen mockups/prototypes.Primary Contact for the DEV team, QA, SSMO team for queries/doubts related to the product or businessAcceptance testing at the end of each sprintPrimary contact for SIT, UAT and Go Live activitiesProvide/review test scenarios for the QA team for the user stories and TDRsTest new functionality and provide sign off after every production releaseGive demo to Business at the end of each sprintProvide Healthcare domain training to teams
Required Qualifications:Experience with Optum specific data warehouses primarily UDW, SDM, SDR, Galaxy, GPSExperience with Core involvement in the Design, Develop, Test and deployment of the code in Data StageExposure to production Support of ETL jobsDWH Lifecycle conceptsAbility to code complex problems (using DataStage routines, Shared containers)In depth knowledge of DataStage concepts involving data analytics, data management, databases, or transactional systemsPractical knowledge on key concepts like ETL Process optimizations, Performance tuningWorking knowledge of UNIX, PEARL scriptProficient in both waterfall and Agile BA roleUnderstanding of current trends and challenges in US HealthcareSkills in Performance optimization of the ETL jobsSkills in writing the performance-tuned SQL queriesSkills in database objects development (Familiarity of DDL and DMLs)Skills in development of the UNIX shell scripting processSkills in using scheduling tools like TWS, AutosysPreferred Qualifications:Experience of working in Agile environmentExperience of working on DevOps and related toolsetsKeen on learning new emerging technologies, especially in the Big Data spaceOptum is a diversified health services and innovation company where data, technology, people and action combine to make great things happen every day.
