The Transactional Planning Process Lead is responsible for delivering transactional planning and analytics capabilities needed to support the Salt Group strategy of delivering superior service at best cost.
As part of the Supply Chain planning team, this role will support the integrated business planning processes with supporting analytics and providing insights using supply chain planning practices and procedures to activities such as, but not limited to, Integrated Business Planning process, technology strategy, and Manufacturing Excellence.
Analyzes and creates complex internal/external benchmark reports and activities across teams, and provides input to the development of an organizational roadmap to accommodate it.
Principal Accountabilities -
40% - Transactional Supply Chain Planning
Create, deploy, and sustain processes, data, and technology solutions for the Salt Group in the transactional planning horizon. Applies deep knowledge of supply chain planning practices and procedures to create efficient supply chain planning techniques using chosen tools/systems. Provides insight to improvement projects and commitments requiring a substantial understanding of supply chain planning practices, procedures, technology, and data needs. Focus on continuous improvement by sharing and deploying industry trends and best practices. Develops and deploys training and support structure for analytics and decision support activities within the Supply Chain Planning team.
30% - Business Partnership
Work cross functionally to understand key integration point requirements and ensure they are incorporated into planning solutions. Using broad knowledge and supply chain planning practices/procedures to analyze and track service level agreements for key stakeholders. Capture and translate business needs into business cases and requirements for interaction with process and/or technology providers. Provides guidance to Supply Chain team members to solve complex supply chain problems Collaborates with peers in other BUs and/or externally (i.e. Center of Expertise, user communities).
20%- Reporting and Analysis
Tracks and analyzes KPIs (key performance indicators) for the transactional planning horizon (i.e. Schedule Adherence, Performance to Plan). Implements and recommends actions to improve best practices across team.
Independently conducts ad hoc analysis and reporting. For example: safety stock analysis
10% - Talent Management
Provides informal coaching and/or training to schedulers, inventory control specialists and distribution planners, including coaching Cargill core values. May participate in selection of supply chain planning employees and provide input on plans for future workforce needs.
Minimum qualifications -
Bachelor´s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, finance or other related field 5+ years of business experience Strong collaboration and influencing skills Excellent communication skills Experience analyzing and improving integrated process results Strong technology skills with SAP experience Broad perspective Ability to travel 20% of time
Preferred qualifications -
APIC's certification/ Supply Chain certification Operations experience Knowledge of Supply chain principles including demand and supply planning, theory of constraints, form and function of inventory management Leading cross-functional teams to execute on strategic initiatives Project Management
