Job Requisition Number: 24912. he Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) includes eight departments and functions that directly report to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (AVC-IT & CIO). These reporting units include more than 330 staff and 30 student employees. The AVC-IT & CIO directly manages an operating budget of approximately $55 million which includes about $35 million of recharge revenue, and $1-2 million in grants and contracts
The position is part of Infrastructure Services. The position involves providing a variety of IT services in a unit. Assignments may include applications programming development and maintenance, systems administration, desktop support, business systems analysis, web applications development and/or maintenance, or a combination of these and/or other IT functions.
•Ticket/Call Triage and Assignment – Using Service Now (ticket system) and established processes, ensure all incoming tickets are assigned to System Administrators. Also monitors the ticket queues for out of office System Administrators and reassigns or responds as appropriate. •Technical Writing – Proficiency using WIKI to create documentation and notes. On select customer communications, assist with crafting or providing feedback •Service Health Monitoring - By monitoring reports and/or emails, and checking identified systems on a regular schedule, assist System Administrators with service maintenance and related ticket creation/assignment. •Verify accuracy of monthly billing reports Compare actual resource usage to billed resource usage Project Management for small to medium projects within platform service •Customer Outreach/Communication – As necessary, contact customers to clarify service requests and/or to request additional info that is needed for System Administrators to complete a request. •Web content Creation/Editing/Maintenance – Familiarity and proficiency with the Open Berkeley web platform; Responsible for change. Content and wording to information on the service website.•Has knowledge of professional concepts.such as being able to triage/prioritize requests, Technical writing, Project Management •Has basic knowledge of applications programming technologies, tools and protocols. •Able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. •Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
