Specifically establishing a world-class enterprise architecture practice, that collaborates and co-produces products and solutions to support and enable Optum's UK's business. Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership, vision and direction to multi-disciplinary teams engaged in the delivery of major programmes, systems and/or services and the overall objectives and priorities of Optum, and specifically establishing a world-class enterprise architecture practice, that collaborates and co-produces solutions for the UK health and care system Help Optum's clinical, business and sales teams strategically place its products and services in the UK healthcare market including key initiatives such as the Paperless 2020 agenda, interoperability target architecture strategy from NHS England - improving healthcare for citizens.Establish a technology radar with appropriate innovative labs for emerging technology which can be leveraged in health including transition plans, impact assessments etc. for platforms and technologies which need to be migrated and how to leverage emerging technology. Champion the tech radar promoting use, development and maintenance throughout Optum including analysis into existing Optum technologies and platforms which can be leveraged for healthcare. Engagement with C-Suite, influencers & key stakeholders to drive out motivations and enterprise business requirements, establish transition and strategic strategies for the Optum to meet the organisation's drivers. Engage with Optum's technology and architecture community including organisation partners and supply chain building key relationships, including thought leadership where appropriate, POC's etc. to ensure Optum delivers value based market leading technology and solutions for the healthcare market, always cross referencing Optum's current technology assets, workforce, architectural community for to ensure Enterprise engagement and re-use Establish Optum's Enterprise Reference Architecture and Reference Data Architecture ensuring core business capabilities are re-using technologies and service where appropriate, highlighting capability gaps and addressing gaps with appropriate strategies, solution architectures, technologies etc to meet the strategic demands of the organisation
Required Qualifications:Experience working with UK NHS health systems, healthcare strategies and data Experience of leading an enterprise architecture practice A deep knowledge of architecture frameworks and models such as TOGAF and Archimate 3.0. Evidence of working on large and complex Data Warehouse, BI, Big Data and/or Data Architecture and Analytics projects Experience chairing technical design authorities and managing multi-disciplinary technology domains / teams Experience establishing and maintain Enterprise Reference Architecture and Reference Data Architectures Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with technological staff, engineers but also C-Suite, business and sales staff Extensive experience building key supplier, supply chain partner, key influencers and key stakeholders relationships Experience working with Microservice based, event driven data and event policy driven architectures Extensive experience of Master / Meta Data Management, Data Governance and Data Quality solutions / projects / technologies including a viable modern meta data continuum and its constituent capabilities The management of data migration and complex health data integrations Experience of establishing and managing cross-organisation and industry data dictionaries business glossaries, ontologies etc. influencing the engagement of multiple partners Experience in any of the following technology vendors Microsoft (SQL Server & BI stack / solutions) Tableau Hadoop ecosystem and associated technologies such as Flume, Kafka, Hive, HBase, Cloudera, Hortonworks, Spark, MapReduce etc and emerging big data technologies.
