Opportunity Overview: The Company requires a top professional to bring expertise and be part of the senior management team. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) leads the overall global operations of the business on a daily basis as well as driving the growth strategies of sourcing and customer services. This involves overseeing all engineering, quality, production, inventory management/logistics, vendor relationships, environmental health & safety management, oversight of all Company foreign plant operations. The COO provides leadership and management to ensure strong operational controls, quality, and reporting systems so that production is on schedule to the required standards of quality, cost, delivery, and safety. Once established in the position and knowledgeable about the dynamics of the business, the COO should be prepared to take on management of profit & loss.This role offers an excellent compensation package, management autonomy, and opportunities to further cultivate a dynamic and growing business.

Responsibilities: • Prepares, manages and communicates the operational strategy in support of the overarching company strategy • Implements and manages the operational budget • Brings practical vendor selection experience in metal casting and fabrication to ensure reliable quality, availability and value is consistently achieved for all outside materials and services • Understand product blueprints, industry applications, and appropriate pricing/margins to achieve full product value • Reviews, develops and reports on key performance activities for the operation • Ensures all current quality, and service practices and policies are developed, maintained and communicated across the organization • Ensures the operation adheres to applicable laws, audits, and regulations, including FCSA
• 10+ years of experience in a Senior Management role gained from demanding production environment in metal casting and fabrication, supply chain/logistics or similar background • Independent and hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environment • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems • Strong business and commercial acumen with experience in managing P&L • Strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and deliver through others • Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving in pressure situations • Proven ability to lead in a collaborative, international, multi-cultural environment; specific manufacturing experience in China preferred • Ability to comfortably and energetically present the company and its products publicly • Ability and willingness to travel as business deems necessary
Ideal candidate will be a driven and entrepreneurial leader with business and commercial management experience, and background in fabrication/casting/forging industry. Production experience will include knowledge of best practices in operations management, demand planning, distribution, plant maintenance, organizational effectiveness, business management, and project management. Experience in China highly desirable.
College degree in Finance or Business required; metals or materials science background helpful
