Reporting to the CIO, the Director is responsible for coordinating the implementation, development, integration, and maintenance of enterprise-wide applications systems including but not limited to the student information system, website, and various other applications and database systems. The Director has oversight of staff, projects, and processes for the web, database, and development teams with Information Technology Services. The position requires a hands-on role in determining user and department requirements, systems implementation, technical support, enhancement, administration, and in ensuring standards compliance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Direct the lifecycle management and support of enterprise-wide administrative and student information system applications by planning and developing the implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and replacement of these systems.
Provide leadership and management to staff members.
Coordinate the activities of applications support, web development, database administration, and third party services.
Serve as project manager for the implementation of enterprise-wide administrative and student information systems and integration with other applications and systems. Project teams may include technical and functional staff.
Work closely with other ITS leaders to establish goals, implement plans, and direct the technology-related governance processes, including serving as chair of the Enterprise Technology committee.
Ensure information security and database integrity where appropriate.
Comply with college policies, guidelines/standards and best practices for the implementation of information systems; maintain a clear understanding and compliance with state and Federal laws and regulations related to personally-identifiable information.
Further develop a shared vision for holistic integration of disparate systems.
Additional responsibilities as determined by the Chief Information Officer.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education with direct support of enterprise systems. Proven ability to plan and manage all aspects of an information system implementation and/or enhancement project; excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate business process and information management requirements into functional specifications; exceptional customer service skills, strong written and oral communication skills; the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

Direct support of Ellucian Banner and Oracle database systems
Knowledge of HTTP authentication and session management
A solid understanding of database structures and query construction
Proficiency in working with Linux command-line utilities
Non Unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits.
Salary: $88,375.00 - $108,770.00 Commensurate with education and experience.
