The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at UM-Dearborn is seeking an Intermittent Lecturer for Fall Term 2018 to teach ECE 517 - Advanced Power Electronics and Motor Drives. This is an advanced course on power electronics and electric drives. Example topics include DC, induction, synchronous and reluctance drives; industrial and residential application of power electronics; practical aspects of design of power electronics devices including heat sink and magnetic components designs. Three lecture hours per week. .
The Intermittent Lecturer will be expected to teach ECE 517 - Advanced Power Electronics and Motor Drives for Fall Term 2018. This is expected to be a 25% appointment, the course schedule is Thursday evenings 3:00 - 5:45pm in 1120 PEC and Internet instruction. Specific activities include course preparation, content delivery, grading, provide office hours to students and ECE office , discussion/meetings with the Department Chair.
Candidates will possess, at a minimum, a Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with relevant specialization, relevant teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence. Candidates will be evaluated based on submitted CV, teaching evaluations, and relevant recommendations.
