This highly regarded private markets team has longstanding and deep relationships with some of the world's most outstanding Private Equity and Venture Capital managers, and as a result is one of the most active Private Equity investors in the country. The team both supports GPs at fund level as well as direct deal level. With a recently recommitted active investment strategy in place they are looking for a talented Investment Associate to work directly with the Head of Private Markets.
In this role you will have key responsibilities across investing in and managing a diverse portfolio. You will be tasked with implementing the firm's private capital portfolio plan and the analysis & execution of potential investment opportunities with the deployment of capital either into or alongside a suite of global private equity/VC funds. You will also be responsible for the active monitoring, reporting and analysis of the firm's portfolio of current investments - the majority of which are overseas. Furthermore, you will get exposure to direct investments into infrastructure and property by supporting the broader investment team.
The ideal candidate will bring anywhere from 3-8 years' experience from a range of backgrounds including but not limited to: direct investing, investment banking, corporate advisory, strategy consulting and Big 4 consulting or transaction services. Those with broader corporate or financial markets (non-private capital) experience will also be considered. This individual will show a high degree of drive and initiative, display strong interpersonal skills and have the ability work with a wide range of stakeholders both locally and internationally.
