Fox is searching for a Director, Quality Assurance located in our Georgia facility, reporting to our President of Powered Vehicle Group (PVG). This position will have responsibility for Quality across multiple divisions and sites.
The Director of Quality Assurance will lead the Quality Engineering Management System (QEMs) for the Powered Vehicle Group (PVG) and will work across the entire group to provide vision, creativity and results-oriented leadership required to build a world-class organization. The Director of Quality Assurance will lead and promote Fox’s culture of quality and will be responsible for quality that complies with customer and industry quality system requirements.
The Quality Director will interact and be directly involved with internal manufacturing plant quality performance and processes across multiple sites and divisions. They will assist, teach and mentor in root cause identification and permanent systemic corrective actions. The Quality Director will be an active participant in the development and execution of the quality department strategic plan for the Group.
The position has a broad scope of responsibility in the quality arena with focused accountability in customer portal, internal data analysis and KPI achievement.
Will foster an environment and lead decision making that results in collaboration and action from key stakeholders including the customer, divisions, site functional leads and the group head office.
Ensure IATF 16949 compliance, SAE AS9100, and ISO 14000 audit readiness at multiple manufacturing plants.
Will aid in aligning organizational and customer goals, and provide leadership in a way that increases and promotes continuous improvement of the company.
Ensure quality starts with design of products and continues through production and service of FOX products.
Will lead team collaboration and effective partnerships with key stakeholders (i.e. Ops Management, Product Development, Engineering, and Supply Chain) to drive alignment on priorities, resources and approaches.
Interface with customer quality representatives concerning problems with product quality and assure and verify that effective corrective actions are implemented.
Support manufacturing plants in resolution of customer quality problems.
Analyze data and create proposals and feasible action plans to identify future risks and correct negative trends. Use analysis to initiate improvement projects at manufacturing sites.
Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Promote a culture focused on actionable ways to identify and reduce cost of poor quality through continuous improvement in the manufacturing plants.
Oversee current and future work-load. Works with division leadership to ensure the necessary level of resources are available in to support the work load.
Develops and executes long-term progressive strategy to ensure the Quality function becomes increasingly proactive in addressing FOX manufacturing plant performance issues.
Lead regional Quality Manager meetings that promote teamwork, team building, and knowledge sharing among group and across multiple sites.
Support new programs and plants as an expert in QEMS standards, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), change management processes, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), (PPAP), Internal Audit, Management Review, safe launch planning etc.
Participate in improvement initiatives/projects to improve data tracking and performance monitoring.
Responsible for the coordination and reporting of quality metrics to the organization that indicate customer satisfaction and the effectiveness of the quality management systems.
Establish short and long term plans to improve the quality management system.

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering, Science or Mathematics field.
15+ years of experience in quality assurance roles, including experience as a Plant Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment.
Experienced in automotive industry quality management standards (PPAP, SPC, MSA, etc.).
Experience at process and quality remediation in a manufacturing, preferably automotive or powersports industry
Experience in the failure modes customary to the automotive market
Self-starting, strong leader with excellent communication skills that have resulted in a successful track record of accomplishment.
High level of interpersonal and leadership skills with capability to influence, coach, mentor, and partner across multiple levels of an organization.
Ability to lead by example, through influence and collaboration is essential.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite of tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point, Share Point, etc.
Experienced with Plant start up and plant efficiency and improvement.
Previous experience with DOD / military manufacturing and products a plus.
Certification as a Quality Engineer, Quality Manager or Quality Auditor through ASQ or equivalent is preferred
Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer. Frequent travel required.
