Visiting Assistant Professor in Sustainable Business University of Redlands
DESCRIPTION: The Environmental Studies Department at the University of Redlands invites applications for a one-year, renewable Visiting Assistant Professor position in Sustainable Business. The visitor will teach two courses in the School of Business, two courses in the College of Arts and Sciences, participate in advising Sustainable Business B.A. undergraduates, actively promote and support connections between the Sustainable Business major in the College of Arts and Sciences and the MBA with an emphasis in Sustainable Business in the School of Business.
The University values applicants who have experience working with students from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Applicants are asked to identify their strengths and experiences in assisting diverse student populations to accomplish curricular goals.
The University is located sixty miles east of downtown Los Angeles, in a town of 70,000. The campus is surrounded by orange groves and sits at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains, one hour from the coast, and 45 minutes from Palm Springs.
POSITION CRITERIA: A PhD, JD, ABD, or terminal degree in business or a relevant environmental field; ideal candidates will be Academically Qualified to teach courses in an ACBSP accredited business school (https://bit.ly/2E8gDBA , p. 61-64). Practical experience in sustainable business or sustainability strategies for college campuses highly desired.
Applicants should have a strong commitment to undergraduate and MBA teaching and mentorship, and a promising record of scholarly achievement. Teaching interests, research, and/or practical experience must focus on aspects of sustainable business, such as sustainability marketing, sustainable supply chain management, sustainability metrics, sustainable operations management, leadership and change for sustainability, or spatial analysis of sustainable business practices.
