This position supports the Supply Chain organization with the management of all eSourcing business systems, ISO requirements and more complex financial results and operating assumptions. The position also acts as a liaison with operations management to support operational decision making and business improvement/cost control efforts. Additionally, this position as a liaison with corporate accounting.
Responsible for eSourcing business systems like Bravo, BROWZ and the Contractor Module of Avantis.
Develops spend profiles and assessments for all sourcing categories.
Assist Category Managers to identify next business opportunities.
Assists in preparing monthly forecasts, annual budgets and performs analyses to support and review operational assumptions.
Works closely with operational personnel to review and understand departmental costs and capital expenditures to ensure budget financial objectives are achieved.
Works with Category and Sourcing Managers to evaluate financial consequences of supplier proposals.
Analyzes purchasing variances and reports monthly results to Senior Management.
Assists with the review of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls (developing, implementing, monitoring and enhancing).
Assists in supporting operational decision making analysis.
Assists by preparing monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
Assists with Internal and External Audits.
Assists in special projects, as necessary.
Continuously seek opportunities for improving processes with the goal of increasing efficiency, accuracy, and/or reliability of financial information.
Manages cost reporting systems.
Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or finance required.
Five to eight years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of GAAP, IRC, FASB, accrual-based accounting, organizational auditing, fixed asset accounting, and tax filing requirements. Strong analytical and software skills. Must be skilled in applying information technology platforms and software to achieve objectives. Must be a strong leader, communicator (both written and oral), excellent people skills, and have detailed approach towards analysis.
