The Haslam College of Business (HCB) at The University ofTennessee, Knoxville invites applications and nominations for an EmployerDevelopment Manager in the office of Professional & Career Development inthe Center for Student Engagement and Success.

The College: The Haslam College of Business is home to more than 4,700undergraduate students and 500 graduate students. Six academicdepartments – Accounting and Information Systems, Business Analytics andStatistics, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing and Supply Chain –are housed in HCB, along with non-degree programs and centers that serve thecommunity and state. Undergraduate students at HCB have a choice of ninemajors, thirteen collaterals, and six dual concentrations. Theundergraduate office is well-respected throughout the university for theirprofessional advising center, and supports undergraduate student professionaldevelopment by programs including Executives-in-Residence, the Venture LivingLearning Community, and a business core focused on practical business knowledgeand leadership development. The Position: Reporting to the Director ofUndergraduate Professional and Career Development, the Employer DevelopmentManager leads the employer relations/development strategy to enhance recruitingrelationships to increase opportunities for undergraduate students at theHaslam College of Business (HCB). This includes dual responsibilities ofstrengthening relationships with current organizations that recruit while alsoattracting new employers to the university. This is an exempt, 12-month,full-time, non-tenure track staff position. Pay Grade42.
Responsibilities: Successful applicants will be responsible for ongoing and newinitiatives related to employer development for undergraduate students at theHaslam College of Business. The position oversees the programming initiatives that enhance opportunitiesfor employers to build a deep connection to the college and our undergraduatestudents. Furthermore, the Employer Development Coordinator will communicateregularly with key employers, alumni, faculty/staff and other career-focusedunits on campus to stay informed on employers needs and develop collaborativeprogramming when necessary. The role will have future supervision andtraining responsibilities. Duties may include but arenot limited to:
·Provide strategic leadership and oversight forundergraduate engagement with employers in the Haslam College of Business.
·Increase the number of employer contactsproviding quality internship and full-time experiences for undergraduatestudents.
·Develop strategic marketing campaigns forpotential employers. Utilize techniques including cold calling, professionalassociation membership, direct referrals and cross-industry marketing toincrease employer participation in campus recruiting.
·Oversee evaluation, assessment, and reporting ofemployer development activities.
·Create new programs and initiatives to bestengage employers with the HCB.
·Build collaborative relationships with otherunits and departments to enhance employer engagement opportunities.
·Travel occasionally, including overnight, tomeet with employers and attend networking events
