BASF North American Coatings Sales Representative
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to support and be a complementary contact with the NA Tier Coatings Customers. You would be reporting into the NA Tier Coatings Account Manager. This position is responsible for the day to day sales management activities such as coordination with all areas of the Supply Chain, Technical Lab, Technical Service, Controlling as well as Manufacturing. You will need to be able to manage complexity across many different regions, many customers and products and be able to influence multiple levels internally as well as in the customer base. You will be responsible for process improvements, system improvements externally and internally as well as the connection of the organization and customer base to BASF Coatings. Strong verbal and written skills are a must. You should possess a moderate to advanced degree of commercial and business acumen due to the level of interaction with pricing quotes, rebates, financial analysis and negotiations. You should have experience in providing input to strategic planning and strategy execution. The successful candidate would portray attributes such as strong interpersonal skills, long term loyal relationship building capability, multi-task oriented, possess strong stress management skills, conflict management, analytical skills, long term strategic thinking, commercial and customer focus and be an independent starter. Ability to travel 30% of the time. It would be preferable if you have demonstrated sales experience such as managing your own accounts in your own territory and meeting specified sales targets.

Support and assist in environmental approvals, issues, concerns and work on approvals for new colors/new formulations.
