About the Master of Management Program
Designed for students who want to “power their potential” by adding business fundamentals, the MM is intended for students who are recent college graduates (less than two years) who did not major in business as undergrads. Many students at other parts of the University and at other institutions have chosen to major outside of business, but now seek to get a broad foundation in business prior to seeking employment. The Master of Management is intended to meet this student interest through a ten-month intensive program leading to a graduate degree in business. The MM core curriculum and electives provide graduate-level business education in addition to extensive programming in leadership and career development.
Reporting to the Managing Director of the Master of Management program, the Admissions Officer Intermediate is primarily responsible for day-to-day recruitment and admission processes. This position exists to ensure the recruitment & admission of a high-caliber groups of students that have a strong interest in learning business fundamentals. In addition, this person is an active and enthusiastic contributor to the Master of Management Program Office by assisting students and suggesting ideas that will enhance the overall MM graduate experience. This person will also work closely with the Managing Director and Faculty Director on crafting strategic initiatives to expand the Ross MM program and to promote the MM degree option across the U.S. and elsewhere.

Plan and coordinate recruitment efforts, working with the Managing Director to create an annual strategic recruitment plan for the Master of Management program.
Manage prospective student inquiries regarding the program.
Organize travel and budget related to attendance at graduate school fairs, job fairs, information sessions and the hosting of prospective students, with particular attention to competitor activities
Counsel prospective students and their support system(s) regarding admission requirements and the application process.
Maintain accurate prospective student records, tracking demographic information, event attendance, student status and general correspondence.
Work with the Managing Director to communicate with students who have started their applications, inquiring about intent to submit and keeping them updated on their evaluation status.
Actively participate in interviewing prospective applicants to the Master of Management program.
Participate and contribute to committee based discussions on final recommendations for admission.
Interview, as part of team, applicants to the Master of Management program.
Social Media Management / Data Collection & Analysis
Coordinate with Ross Marketing and Communications and the Managing Director of the Master of Management program to ensure effective MATR/Non MATR applicant surveys.
Work with Ross Administrative Core Team to ensure websites are up-to-date, providing strategic direction for new content, based on student reaction, peer and market analysis of best practices.
Create, compile and edit compelling, creative content and images for social media channels, email communication, newsletters, website and social media channels.
Research and post relevant social media content, monitoring and responding to posts in an effort to grow the social community and drive user engagement.
Collect metrics from events and marketing efforts; analyze data to better understand strengths and weaknesses in programming and marketing efforts.
Maintain relationships with guidance counselors, career services representatives and professors at target universities, keeping them updated on program news and advancements.
Cultivate strong relationships with faculty and staff in non-Ross University of Michigan units, exploring opportunities for Master of Management students.
Work with the Managing Director to identify and maintain relationships with alumni willing to assist with recruiting efforts.
Lead efforts to plan and host prospective and admitted student events.
Support current student activities, events, celebrations, etc.
Collaborate with other Ross departments who provide services and support to the program.
Serve on departmental committees as needed.
Facilitate execution of the program’s objectives by identifying and fostering key relationships at the school, campus, local and national levels.
Provide input on the Master of Management website and printed collateral regarding updated and/or new content, based on student reaction and peer and market analysis of best practices.
Conduct research and benchmarking for special projects, as needed.
Assist with the execution of programs and events.
Create and maintain process documents and program-wide calendars to ensure consistent knowledge and execution within the office.
1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
